Yeah I e-mailed the guy (the Custom X guy) I'm trying to get it cheaper than that! I only paid $500 for the T7 a couple years ago.
E-mailed a guy with a Custom camber and Cartel bindings. He wanted $250 and I offered him less. He said price wasn't negotiable since he paid 5 times that! I said that paying $1250 for a Custom with bindings might not have been the best move. Don't think I'm going to get that snowboard! :dizzy:
Just an FYI, but i'm not sure a Custom X is what you want for park/play...that's more of an all-mtn board designed to bomb away on steeps and really carve - it's pretty stiff. The Custom could certainly do what you're looking for but I wouldn't recommend the Custom X.
Not trying to tell you what to do, just providing some insight as an FYI.
Fuck I know! You're killing me! I just don't want any of that fancy pants hybrid camber stuff... Maybe I can buy a Restricted custom and heat the thing up, put it in a press and make it cambered! :yahoo:

Even the Custom X is going to feel like a wet noodle for me! I'm the guy around here that likes snowboards to be long, stiff, and cambered. That includes in the park! Custom X has a longer sidecut radius for the same length boards vs other burtons, and being stiffer it wouldn't feel like a wet noodle to me if I bought a shorter board than normal. Custom X 152 or 156 would be fun!
Yeah I guess I am cheap, I just figured nobody ever posts their real price on Kijiji, you're always supposed to lowball! $250 really is a good price for a nearly new Custom with bindings.
You in Alberta? Got any pics? How much do you want?
Go for a Custom Flying V. You will NOT be disappointed. I pretty much ride a twinned out smaller version of that, and that thing can do anything you need, and it does come in twin if you need that. Does well in park and pow. The board just lets you go nuts, and tbh, you seem like the person who LOVES to go nuts.
If you want stiff and cambered you need a Bataleon. TBT makes it so fucking stiff but also playful. Not sure, but riot might be it. Or it might be too stiff?
Although I was hoping for a shorter board then that. Maybe just have to buy it and cut the tips off.
The nice thing about the priors is they still have a longer sidecut radius on their freestyle boards. Same sidecut as a Custom X, but twin geometry and a lifted tip profile.
i've got a 2012 custom x 160 with cartel est bindings, or malavita est bindings. i don't think i'm quite ready for it and it might be a bit much board for me anyways (i weigh around 160). Bindings are Medium. Been on the board/binding setup twice this year, and only for a few runs each time. i'd probably be looking for somewhere around $400, shipping to canada might be a dealbreaker though, not sure how expensive that gets. let me know if you're interested, otherwise good luck!
So I picked up that 2012 Custom 156 I posted earlier with Custom bindings... Tried it for a couple laps today and HOLY SHIT WHERE'S MY EDGE HOLD?!? I don't know if the guy ever sharpened it!
I have to get a base weld/grind on the T7 so going to get a real good edge done on the new Custom at the same time and see if it improves.
On another note: A Virus Avalanche can actually be quite fun in the park! :yahoo:
I got buddy who rides a K2 174 deck. It's cambered, old, and beat to hell. I've seen him hit boxes and pull 180s with that thing. Rocks a set back forward stance and rides/lands switch no problem.
He is constantly telling me my board is too short and my back binding is pointing the wrong way....:dunno:
^^^ Yeah it's funny, the more boards I ride the more they feel the same. Shouldn't it be the opposite?!?
So here's the Custom I picked up next to the old girl. She's 3 cm shorter and about 1 cm wider than the T7. Should be a fun little play board! I'm thinking about sawing off the tips to make it more blunted, we'll see...
