You can ride the 165w and shouldn't have any issues, although the 169w will be a bit more stable at speed etc, due to the larger size. I've been riding a 165w Skunk Ape HP this season and while I'm not 6'6" my weight swings from 260-280lbs depending on the time of year etc. The Apes are built for big riders, so really can't go wrong with the board.
