I'd say Wolf Creek. It is much more low-key and much less crowded. Vail, Breck is a Sheet-Show with crowds. With the recent storm that hammered the midwest, Breck/Vail got 3-4 inches (definitely not the 5 the Breck reported) and Wolf Creek got 15. You're not going to find Motel 6 around Vail/Breck. If you're stuck with I-70, you could also ride Loveland and stay in Georgetown. Much cheaper than Vail/Breck.
Again, however, Loveland has 1/2 the snowfall this year that Wolf Creek has. I say Wolf Creek! I may even pull the trigger and take a drive down that way. Summit County blows!
