The backs stay down. I am still working on lifting up and locking in one motion, but still really quick.

Only issue I have is when I put my foot in, I have to pull the straps back a little, then push my foot just a little more to be able to close up the back.

I can't seem to put my foot in with one nice motion. I put it in, pull the straps back a little, push my foot in a bit more, then lock up the back. The bindings are still new, so it might just be then needing to get broke in.

But they are great! I hear if I went with the NX2-GT or SE, it would remedy that problem. (I have the NX2-AT). But I might have to wait until next season to afford those.
