Stalls
This will be my sixteenth year riding (32 years old w/ wife and 3 kids) and in recent years I've really taken a liking to stalls. My favorite mountain has plans to add many more stall features this year and I don't really have many in my trick bag to use. I'm terrible at trick names, always have been, so what I can do I probably call the wrong thing. Last year I posted up the question what one was called. The feature was on top of a spine, I ride in regular or switch, spin frontside or backside 180 on, continue spinning another 180, 360, or 540 on top then, depending on position, drop back in over the spine or back down the side I rode up. I have no idea what it's called. It might look weak but it's fun to do and I never see anyone else doing it. Maybe it's really lame that's why no else is doing it. Seems to get a few shouts from the crowd when I pull it though.
Aside from the many variations of that, I've got nose-picks(? wrong name?) down. Does it matter if you spin frontside or backside on those? Does that change the trick name? I've got tail? blunt? stalls down. This next one I have no idea what it's called and it's another one I never see anyone doing but it took many attempts before I got it right. The feature was a 5-6 foot telephone poll on top of a 1/4 pipe. I would ride up regular or switch, rotate frontside 90 degrees, hit the pole in the center of the board, suck up the impact with my knees (that was the hard part to learn), seems like I just hang there for a second, then push off spin another 90 and ride back down the 1/4. Does that have a name?
What other stalls are there?
Names (which I'll forget or get wrong) and a description of how it's done please.
