Early Season Conditions

Just a reminder now that the snow is starting to fly. Remember it's early season and choose your lines wisely. Now is not necessarily the time to do those big lines. Things are more stable West coast a few days after a storm when compared to Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, but it's still early. Slides can run to the ground and a surprisingly small slab can take you for a ride and bury you or worse. This boarder was lucky there was a rock below him to anchor the snow when everything else broke around him. If not for that he would be dead. This was taken on December 2 last year. It was a day or two after the last storm and we really hadn't started getting snow until that week. You can see there were dire consequences should he had been caught. A dead man for sure.

Have fun, get out there, play conservatively. There is a whole season ahead of us. If you haven't changed the batteries in your beacon, do so now. Don't talk about it, just go do it.
