not trying to be a dick, you mentioned that this was your first year, just letting you know what you were getting into.

Hollywood bowl is out of bounds, and should be treated as true back country terrain. When traveling in the back country every person should have taken a avalanche course, and have the proper gear, shovel beacon probe, and the knowledge to use it. One should also be a very confident rider so they can handle any situation that could arise.

the tunnel creek slide last year that killed three was just a little west of hollywood bowl.

stevens has lots of stashes and fun runs inside the boundaries (pm me i'd be happy to tell you), once you can rip everything inbounds take a avy class, find some experienced partners and then start hiking
