Now normally I'd agree with this, but wouldn't you agree that the first time at any unfamiliar park you should run through it first so you don't run into any nasty surprises?

Soooo true. I spent 90% of my first season pushing myself on the mountain before I even dared to hit the park. I can't tell you how many people I see almost kill themselves because after 2 hours on a board they think they're Shaun White.
