Why? You need to set the default program to open the media files (ie Windows Media Player, MS Picture Viewer, etc).
You can do it the same way as Win 7, Vista, & XP... right click, then go to "Open With" and then "CHoose Default Program" for making that program the default program.
iirc, if you use a 3rd party start menu, then you can go to the Control Panel -> Programs -> Default Programs -> Set your default programs
Well that should be the default prompt. Not kicking me out to the apps menu. I'll see what I can figure out when I get home. I have windows explorer pinned to the task bar but it boots me out of desk top when I try to open it. I've been searching files to get to my media. I've never seen such a waste of time.
