Kirkwood/Sierra are on the south side of the lake, quite a distance from Squaw. they have some of the best coverage in the area, but it is all slop. Getting there would requre unnecessary transoporation hastles if you don't have a car. Also, at this point, I don't know that you'll get much of a better experience at Kirk/Sierra than you would at Squaw/Northstar/Mt. Rose. There is a small disturbance that may bring a little snow to the area and it'll stay to the north.

If you've never ridden Tahoe, you might want to check out Northstar just for the lake view and Mt. Rose for the desert view.
