You don't dock start behind a boat? I always do (we all do at the cottage whether wakeboarding or water skiing)...

I don't do enough wakeboarding, usually only one weekend a summer these days. It's fun but to me nothing like snowboarding. I did take a lesson a while ago and they taught some pretty good tricks.. Hold the handle with both palms facing down, and push the rope down to your waist. It'll help you pull from the middle, make it easier on your back, and should help you get more air!

This is NOT the right technique! Love the hat on my dad...

Trying to crank hard to clear the wide wake behind my dads boat...
