Default ETM does japan 2013/2014

Well guys it's all about to happen again. I am doing things a bit differently this time though.

I landed in tokyo last night and was picked up by my lovely gf Tomoyo and taken straight to a ramen bar before going back to her house an hour outside the heart of tokyo.
Today I begin my hunt for a cheap van to buy and convert into my new home before heading into the mountains if nagano and beyond.

Niiiiice. I love Tokyo. Had a ball in the Golden Gai and saw a grand sumo tournament at Ryugokan (I think that's how you spell it) there in Jan. The people are some of the friendliest I've come across too which is nice.

Have fun mate, can't wait to see how your new decks go.

Well here is is folks. After 12 days of stress I finally have my very own car in japan. Buying this thing was one of the most tedious experiences of my life. Everything in japan is so easy, they have everything dialed in so well you have to experience it to believe it, then there is buying a car which is a rediculous clusterfuck of paperwork, approvals and waiting days for things that take 5 minutes.

Anyway I now have it in my hands and will spend the next few days building a bed and adding a second battery etc. Basically pimping it car danchi style with what little funds I have left lol.

I call it the white wombat.

Basically it is pretty easy. You just install it somewhere run wires from the original battery +ve and -ve terminals to the new battery. Put a switch or a voltage sensitive relay (vsr) inline on the +ve wire. This allows it to charge off the alternator while driving but isolates the original battery so it cant be run flat at night.
If you use a switch (like I am because I cant find a vsr locally) you just have to remember to flick it at night.
Then any power you use at night must be wired to the new battery and you will always have a full charge to crank the engine in the morning.

When does the season finish in Japan? I'd love to go but am tied up with University and work until May, could I catch the back end? Or am I stuck with planning for 2014/15?

Forget may. Go to alaska if you are stuck with those dates. You want jan/feb to get the guarenteed powder more days than not.
