Default Niseko All Mountain Pass vs Village Pass?

Hi all, I am off to Niseko for 7 days of skiing in Feb and just a bit shocked by the cost of the all mountain pass - 365 euro!! Compared to a 3 Valleys pass (250 euro, for twice as many runs I think) its really pricey. Can anyone tell me if they found it was worth it or is there enough in Niseko village to keep me occupied. I am intermediate snowboarder.

You are gonna fly around the world to ski/snowboard and you are worried about 130 euros? I think the Niseko United pass is worth the extra money. How often are you coming over to Niseko? You want to enjoy everything there is I imagine. With airfare, hotels, transport, food, etc, I just don't see the 130 Euros being an issue.

True, in the scheme of the several thousand euros its nothing, but I was still miffed at the cost. I have in the past bought all-mountain tickets but only ventured around my resort as I was a beginner-intermediate. Also, I have a regular all mountain board which I have set back the stance and its pretty good for where I am now (which is a bit powdery but not Niseko powdery) but what is the likelihood that I would want to also get a proper powder board?

I'd go day by day... the passes there are available in many different combinations. i haven't done the math but my feeling is that the discounts offered for multi-day all mountain might be a false economy.

for example, are you really going to hit all the areas (Annupuri, Village, Hirafu & Hanazono) in a single day every day? you could go for a 8 hour all mountain pass for less, or you might find that you like certain areas better than others or may want to stick in one area all day. you can get a Hirafu & Hanazono pass for less, or an Annupuri only pass for less, etc etc.

Well NIseko has been getting absolutely hammered almost non stop, same story here as well ( 165km south as the crow flies) I see people all the time head into neck deep powder with regular boards and make it to the other side. How many times they get stuck is the mystery. You can rent any powder board imaginable at the resorts here, so perhaps on the 'powder' days you could rent a board and go crazy and not have to throw more money out the window on a pow specific board.

I was there in Dec when it was pounding and I got stuck like a mofo. Wish I had a powder board at the time.

Thanks for all the replies. I will rent a powder board if my regular doesn't work. I am actually only 100km north of Niseko so its hard to believe theres so much more powder. I'm really excited about the trip!
