Well its dry times here atm with everything tracked out, probably the worst ive seen it to be honest. That will change.
Avalanche conditions are green light so tomorrow I am going to take the splitboard up shiribetsu dake. Here is a vid showing the board I built in action. It works pretty damn well.

It turns awesome, the camber sections lock in very hard especially in the tail, I used to really have to focus on keeping my heel side locked in the last half of my turn but on this board its just locked in solid.
Its a thrill to build it and ride it but to actually be blown away by its performance was totally unexpected for my first build.

Just did 2 days at Sapporo Teine and one day at Kiroro. Its great getting out and seeing the place rather than being stuck at the resorts.
Teine has some great steep lines and some wicked side country to explore. Kiroro is FLAT. It has some nice pitches and great trees riding on those bits but fuck me it has some flat runouts. Almost did my head in just trying to make it back to some of the lifts.

And here it comes. So far small patches of the blue area have been hovering around resulting in 20cm and 30cm dumps. What is coming now is a fucking wall of powder that is sure to dump the whole of japan in pure fluffy goodness.Think there may be a vid or two coming over the next few days.

do you think the wave of white will still be coming down in 2 weeks!? had unfortunate days when i was there the last 2 times, each time had one decent white-age but the other days were warm and turned icy at times.
either way CANT wait to get out there!
