Which do you like more out of thredbo and perisher? and which has more challenging terrain, not moguls but like natural drops, kickers, trees and steeps

Going to thredbo this year... done it all my life, very expensive though
![]() thredbo or perisher in my opinion! perisher is big and open from my experiences (couple of years there), has more shit more stuff more everything Thredbo is smaller, more tight with more trees, its heaps homely to me, where i grew up snowboarding, love going to it every year (- the $$$ and the crowds) --> thredbo i like more going to japan when i finish school, then hittin EURO up for late season there (hopefully $$ )

as someone from the BC interior, and has had the pleasure of riding the infamous 'japow' i can compare the two
hands down, western canada. while japan consistently gets massive snowfalls, so does the west. japan is bananas as a whole country, travel experience, but the snow, terrain, people and overall experience of canada trumps japan, no problem. i may be biased, but it is what it is. |

I did a few years of boarding in Ontario Canada, then a couple of years ago I came back to sydney, en route I stopped off in NZ queenstown & wanaka for few weeks.
Last year was terrible I only went snowboarding 4 days in the whole year, I feel so bad like I've neglected my responsibilities . I can't let that happen again... I've got at least one 5 day trip to perisher planned right now. I need to try and find more people to sort other trips with.I'll probably hit B.C. this northern-hemisphere winter too, to make up for last years losses. I can't believe I'm stuck so far away from a ski-hill here. |
