^^^ asshole haha, right now id go out in that weather, shit i just need some type of snow I'm desperate!
Go down to 7-11 and buy a slurpee, then strap into your bindings, tip the slurpee on the ground and slide onto it. Thats what the snow was like in perisher today lol.
I actually didnt even go out today, I went yesterday and it is just so icy and that wet snow on top wasnt going to improve anything so I made my way back home, dry lol.
The next system around the 24th looks like the one thats going to dump some decent snow.
OK you snow starved yanks heres some pics of a little hill called perisher in Australia. It turned it on real good sunday monday. They are just pics off my phone, I really wish I had my photo gear with me!
Yeah I sure do. I have some really good spots that I hit, when its on its (almost) as good as anywhere but those days are few and far between unfortunately. Sunday, monday were incredible. If I had the gopro I could have got some mad footage.
I'm off to Perisher this season, my daughter is working there "pullin' T's and bangin' chairs".
Cool, I usually end up hating most lifties at perisher as they have an attitude that they are uber cool and you are just another punter. This season I have been pleasantly surprised by how friendly they all seem, tell her to keep it up!
I am an aussie boarder and have spent the last 3 weekends at Hotham on really good snow for this early in the season. Hotham is my favourite resort in Vic and has some good steep runs (for Oz) and nice off piste areas. Heading off again this weekend too. I have the Hero pass so am making the most of it. I hope to go nearly every weekend until I head off to NZ 25th August.
I love Treble Cone in NZ and stay in Wanaka as I prefer it to Queenstown. I also go to Cardrona for a day for a change of scenery. When I am feeling rich, which is not very often, I like to heliboard in Mt Aspiring National Park as its the cheapest heliboarding you are likely to get anywhere.
I also go to Niseko Japan every Jan/Feb and have to say it is my favourite place in the world for snowboarding thanks to the awesome powder. To put this comment in perspective I have snowboarded in Canada, France and Austria too. Niseko is the best!!
Lets hope the season carries on as it has started. I hate it when it fizzles out too early!
