I saw that it is just nuking. Fuck yeah!

Get your cameras out make us northern dwellers jealous.

Be smart if you choose to go bc. I am sure it will be touchy with all the loading.

I wish i were there!!! and yeah apparently most resorts that got pounded wont be opening tomorrow so they can do avy work, will be some serious wind loading in places!

If you look at the Cardrona timelapse webcam, you can see they recruited a small army to dig the magic carpet out from under the snow, classic.

Remarkable's absolutely Epic today fresh pow runs all day if you put the effort in hiking wise....
Can't wait to i get up later in the week ...Coronet white out yesterday good to get some Vis today to go with the fresh..both field's having the best start in many years

Default Aucklanders to Ruapehu

Any JAFFA's keen on making a weekly/every 2nd week road trip down to ruapehu from Auckland ? let me know maybe we can start up a facebook group page

I plan to make it down most weekends; however I generally have a full car load.

It will be awesome, I have to work all week (unless I feel a cold coming on) but will be over there Sunday, it is going to be manic. Apparently top 20cm or so is still powder, some awesome 1 metre high lips on the runs and full coverage, all being kept nice and cool,dry and windless. 2.8 metres of powder in one storm is unheard of here. Shame they took out the triple with the controlled avalanche though
