Default Getting to Perisher and Accommodation

So I went to Thredo with a ski group last year, I didn't like it since I had to share my room with alot of randoms. I like my privacy.

So I was wondering, How do people normally get to perisher by them selves since driving isn't an option for me. and Where do they stay?

I was looking at the website and I was wondering if there are any accommodation near the ski tubes that runs along to perisher instead of staying at perisher.

I'd prefer a method of Training it from sydney, central station to a place near the ski tube where the hotel is and in the morning I could go straight to the ski tube and come back at night.

I'm kinda new to this so I'd like to know anyone have a similar plan to this or any insights similar to my example.

You'll need to take the bus since you said you can't drive.

Take the bus from Sydney through Canberra that takes you to Perisher.
