Couldn't resist the title.
![]() In all seriousness, it's dumping out there. We are getting a ton of snow on a very faceted snow pack. Stuff is going to be popping left and right. That is the bottom line. Steeper lines that haven't been ridden a lot are going to rip. There should be some great meadow skipping squiggle turns to be had over the next few days. The danger should ease off by the weekend, but anytime you are at treeline or above, I'd be extra sensitive to what is going on. In fact, I really wouldn't recommend being above treeline right now. Several zones are already reporting high avalanche danger. I expect this to go state wide by tomorrow. Check out CAIC's report for your zone and make smart decisions. No one else is going to do it for you. Backcountry Avalanche Forecasts - CAIC: Colorado Avalanche Information Center Be safe out there, and have fun. The getting is getting good.
