You press a button and the orbiting satellite sends the alert to NASA where you are registered. They in turn notify S&R in your local area. It`s line On Star for your body.

thanks snowolf, that doesnt seem like a bad idea when im out on the kayak fishing, i've got an IR strobe that gets activated once submerged but it doesnt transmit just flashes.
