I've never done this and actually just figured out what splitting was a few days ago so I'm sorry about these really basic questions..

Generally how long does it take you to typically summit and actually be able to ride? This looks right up my alley, and I REALLY want to try this one day.

Sweet riding by the way, I enjoyed your video.

Generally one run is about 45-60 mins up, for about 1800 vertical feet. Most of the turns in this video were from one day where I got three runs and we were out for about 4 hours... BUT, I do live in SLC and our access to a huge amount of terrain in a quick fashion is unparalleled here... I've lived in Tahoe and Jackson and the access here is better.. I live in SLC proper and I can make it a trail head in 20 mins from my door and then be starting up a run 5 mins after that, and it's not just one trail head that's like that here, there's like 10+ different great places that lead to over 1000+ different runs...

I also tour all the time so that makes my up/ascent time pretty efficient..

Touring is where it's at though if you have access.. I usually tour a far far greater number of days than I ride the lifts anymore...

That sounds like an awesome time. I can't blame you for splitting more than riding lifts, I would probably do the same thing.
