This entire season I have wanted to bag this bowl. It wasn't epic conditions, and it was already farmed out. I can at least check it off of the list. The skin in was pretty mellow even though I took a million breaks it seemed. I blame running 15 miles and then grabbing the split
I went up with Ryan and we had a pretty fun day. We timed the south facing exit perfect to where the crust wasn't there but it was more like a slushee. Standing on top of the ridge line, you can see the Oquirhh mountains ![]() ![]() Raymond which is a line I want to bag ![]() Looking over into Day's Fork ![]() Here is another one on the list. Gobblers and someone had some ballsy tracks down it. ![]() Here is another one on the list. God's Lawnmower. Slide Path you think? ![]() The view of of Reynolds. I want to hit this bad boy on an untouched day. A nice steep bowl mmmmm ![]() Ryan is in there somewhere. I didn't feel comfortable dropping the line that had more south in the aspect so we stuck with where the tracks were. Wasn't feeling a wet slide today.

Nice doesn't look like it was in to bad of shape, sure wish I wouldn't have had to work today!
Picked up a Marmott Genisis(S&C) on friday that won't be soak and wet in a matter 30 minutes on those wet days.

Bangin' ass photos...I love black and white. And Mt. Raymond is gonna happen some day..it's one that hasn't left my mind since I saw it snow covered for the first time at the end of 2011.
For those interested: this part of Reynolds bowl was east facing, 46deg slope (measured at the top to approx the slope as a whole). The line started at Reynolds Peak at 9422' to somewhere around 9000' where snowvols took the photo of the bowl. |
