Default Transworld Switchbacks

Not much to say about bindings. However, I love these things.

Toe strap is the best I have ever used. Wraps around the boot with absolutely no pressure points. Same with the ankle strap, you can crank both of them as tight as you want with no pinching to be had. Easy to adjust.

Highbacks are easy to pop on/off and adjust. Flex is perfect for park riding.

Jib baseplate offers some extreme dampening for hard landings. This isn't anything ground breaking though.

Ratchets are smooth as all should be. No jams or issues here.

As for the weight, these things are as light as they come. No heavy metal baseplates, etc. I personally dislike metal baseplates as it kills the board feel. You can really feel the snappiness of the board through these without killing yourself on landings.

Overall, switchbacks don't offer any extra "tech". It's basically a bullet proof, no bullshit binding. The No back thing is gimmicky, no real purpose to it, but it's worth a try. Great appearance without any crazy designs floating around on them. Replacement parts are easy to pick up and because of this, you can customize everything to your liking? Want a canting footbed, jib footbed, or an all mountain one? No biggie, just pick it up separately instead of needing a whole new binding. The mcdonalds of snowboarding, have it your way. These things get the job done and do it well without any unnecessary bell/whistles.

Overall, I highly recommend switchbacks.

I just ordered a pair on thursday, now I'm just waiting for them to come. The straps definitely looked comfy and i like how the extra plastic gets funneled into the straps instead of shooting out when you strap in.

You'll love em. The footbed padding is a bit hard to adjust, but you'll figure it out and you don't need to do it often.

I love my switchbacks only problem I have had with them was I forgot to put the highback all the way down and popped the whole back off. Nothing broke so that was great and I love the wing backs. I can’t wait for the C Pads to go back on sale next year along with the new straps.
