EST angle indicator

Just curious, when did they get rid of the little plastic bubble covering the indicator piece? Seem to recall all the EST bindings had it, but it's not on the genesis. Or maybe I am just get Alzheimer's?

I train every day of my life as they have never trained a day in theirs. Alexander Karelin

WHAT'S THAT SONNY?!? Speak up!

My 2013 Cartels have it, as have every other pair of EST bindings I've owned...

Why do you need it? Do you set your highback angles by sight rather than feel?

If you know your angles the you can easily move bindings from board to board.

The indicator is still there, it's just that it's no longer covered with a little lense that magnifies for easy viewing.

Hence poutine's joke above.

Ahh... I thought he meant the highback angle indicator like on some older Burton bindings... That was also covered by a little bubbled glass...

I have the Genesis and the angle indicator doesn't always work so great if you have any movement with the bindings etc. So I usually throw down some lines with a sharpie. That way if the indicator "looks" like it's saying your angles are off you will just be able to look at the board and know if your bindings came loose and shifted.

my 13 genesis don't have it either. I remembered the bubble sight too and made myself crazy trying to figure out if it was missing since I got mine off geartrade. It wasn't missing
