Default Time for new bindings!

I just bought a 2013 K2 Happy Hour 154 cm board. I'm 5'8'' 157 pounds and have a size 9-9.5 shoe. This is going to be mostly a groomer board, will use it to do some butters, hitting some rollers and doing some small to medium sized jumps. No rails, boxes or half-pipe. I snowboard mostly in Michigan (not the best...I know). Probably will be about 50% groomers while hitting rollers on the way, 30% butters, and 20% jumps if that helps as well. I'm an intermediate to advanced rider. Currently Riding a Forum Warrior snowboard with C-60 bindings (can't remember what boots I'm on). It's a pretty stiff camber board but lots of fun, just need something different now and want to get more into freestyle as mentioned above.

I have no clue where to start on what bindings to get. Do you buy the boots first then get bindings or vice versa? Does it matter? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

This is like the second time I've seen you use this sentence. It may be true, but damn dude, you are most definitely NOT bringing honor to your clan!

Sounds like you will want a mid-stiffness all-mountain binding. Lots of options out there, I'm sure folks will chime in with their recommendations.

Haha I know. The snowboarding in the UP is nice, but damn after being out west I just wish we had stuff like that here in Lower Michigan. I'll work on my pride being a Michigander snowboarder.

Not to derail the thread, but where do you ride mostly? A few of us ride/have ridden together. Check out the Michigan thread; don't be a stranger.

I'll check it out. I live in Grand Rapids, friend has a cottage up in Petoskey so I go up there. Lots of Caberfae just because it's close and decent. Got a promotion so I work 7 days on 7 days off so on my week off I plan on making some longer trips. Wouldn't mind hitting up the UP a couple times.

Nice!

I was just at Caberfae on Friday, but I have a pass at Crystal so that is my mainstay. I also have a friend with a place at Bay Harbor and we usually make a trip or two each year up there.

So the bindings I'm looking at so far are the following:

Rome 390 Boss
Flux DL or DS? Trying to figure out which flux bindings would work best for my riding.
Union Force or Atlas
Flow - I just absolutely love the idea of them but keep reading bad reviews, not tight enough, annoying to use, etc.
Burton Cartel

Thoughts? Comparisons of all of them? How do most of them fit with boots as I still haven't gotten any yet and have matching concerns. Going to the shop to check out some boots today.

Thanks again for any and all help.

90% of people complaining about those specific issues with Flow never spent the time to get them set up correctly. It takes some time.

I rode the Fuse SE on the 54 HH last year and it was a solid matchup. Others I'd put on it would be the Burton Cartels, K2 Formula, Salomon Holograms, Flux DS, or Swithhbacks.
