Default Loose Cartel Highback hinge.

I recently noticed on one pair of my 2010/11 Cartels that the screw for adjusting the rotation of the highback has been coming loose. After tightening it twice, I noticed that each time I fold it down and raise it back up, it turns the screw out about a quarter turn. Eventually it gets so loose my highback is no longer parrallel to my board edge and it wobbles.

The little toothed plate that helps hold it in place when rotated is plastic, but the female threaded insert that accepts the screw is metal. Would LocTite (blue or red?) work to fix this issue? If not, anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it?

I've almost stripped the screw to the point of being useless with constant re-tightening. Thanks for any input.

Blue loctite is best. Unless you want it to be permanent then you would want red. It will definitely solve your problem.

Red is far from permanent, but it is really really solid. Agreed that blue is plenty good for this and will almost certainly fix your problem
