Just been messing with my bindings a little bit. My boots were centered well in the bindings but not quite on the board, there was a little more heel overhang than on the toe. So I adjusted the heelcup forward one notch, and took pics to see what you guys thought. How does it look, is it all centered ok?
Is the heel cup adjusted all the way out? You can see there is a little more toe over hang on the toe ramp but hard to tell if there is more toe over hanging the board. If you loosen those large screws to adjust the heel cup make sure you use the correct size screw driver, those things have loctite and is easy to strip with a small screw driver.
Well judging from that first in the second set of pictures you look good. Certainly close enough to go out and ride it and see if it feels okay. Centering doesn't have to be perfectly, exactly centered.
You just don't want it so far one way or the other that it makes it hard to transfer from edge to edge.
You're only Young Once,.. but you can be Immature FOREVER!
a good way to test it to place a screwdriver from the heel of your boot and the other end on the heel edge, then do the same with the toe of the boots and the toe edge. the angle of the screwdriver should be similar in the toe and heels in order for it to be centered.
The best way to "find center" for you is to ride the board and pay attention to how responsive your heel and toe turns are in comparison. But for me the most important thing is finding that "sweet spot" around center where the board just pops the best.
Does anybody else think the bindings could be a little bigger? There seems to be a lot of toe sticking out in front of the toe ramp. I'm comparing to my bindings which are K2 Company size XL with a boot size 11, so maybe my bindings are too big!
