Default Flow NX2 question!

So I just bought some flow nx2 at's and they look promising and comfy.

Quick question: When quick-removing boots and re-inserting, I find that my boot automatically adjusts to a particular position on the board, which is a little bit more toward the heel side (as one would expect).

As this means the tip of the boot and tip of the heel are no longer equidistant which is the ideal, do you guys pre-empt this adjustment by fixing your bindings toward the toe-side a bit more and re-inserting both feet using the quick-release at least once at the beginning of the day? Or am I being too anal?

I wouldn't say the boot is excessively protruding at the heel-side edge such that I think it would catch the snow, but it's noticable so I was wondering what you guys did.

Well you only gave your post 2 hours, chill. Just move your bindings and try how that feels, bring a screwdriver and change it back if you don't like it.

so on my nx2's, I have been working with the guys in customer support to help me dial them in. One thing i found was that one of the screws was too tight where the ladder strip (sorry for bad terminology) connects to the heel cup, if you have the black version it is the part with the white cap. I found that when I pulled my back open, the ankle strap was being pulled to down to the right instead of lifting up as it should. I was able to fix that by loosening the screw and re tightening them. what was happening to me was that i was constantly adjusting the strap, since the system was not working smoothly.

I called the guys at flow, and they are very helpful. they have spent countless hours on the phone with me and in email, trying to help me dial these in. They really do have the patience of a saint. as I am new to snowboarding and need a lot of hand holding to dial these in.

I have not had a chance to get out to the mountain to try out my tweaks in the wild, but am hopeful

I reread my reply and it was a bit douchey, sorry. Wait more than 2 hrs for a reply.
I have flite 2s, strap doesn't raise up with the high back down. My foot also shifts forward when I raise the back. I've adjusted the bindings to keep my foot centered when bound

I too have the NX2-AT, but i think you need to loose your front buckles a couple of clips so when you place your boot in, the strap does not push it back. Just curiosity, do you mean after you put the highback up or before?

Also what size boot, you may have to move heel cups back. There is a video on that at flow site

Thanks for your response.

So what I thought was sensible (could be wrong as this is my first real purchase) was to put the boot in the binding, strap up both straps with the highback up (but not fastened), then when both straps are tight (maybe too tight as I have a habbit of doing that) fasten the highback.

Afterwards I'd want to practise the quick-release by unlatching the highback, removing boot, re-inserting boot, fastening highback. At this point since the strap tightness had already been previously set (possibly too tight as you suggested), once highback is fastened my heel would be protruding noticeably unevenly.

Will try loosening the toe a bit more when I get back. I also noticed the webbing was not sitting directly over my boot lace area so I adjusted those straps by pushing the webbing over to the right a little bit.

They are salomon f20's UK size 9 (US size 10) so they should fit with L-sized nx2s

I'll check the flow website for videos on adjusting as well as I don't think I can fix the bindings a little more forward from the baseplate attachcment.

With both my NX2's and my NXT's my boot would almost always feel too far heel side when I first lifted the high back. It would usually take a couple bounces/penguin walks to get the boot to settle to the position it will be for the rest of the ride.
