This might be kind of long, but I just got back into snowboarding after getting a season pass to a mountain 10 minutes from my house. I have been snowboarding since 2006 but took a break from 2010 till now because I play a college sport and didnt want to get hurt for the season in spring. I forgot how much I enjoyed it and now im really getting back into it. I have an old 08 GNU CHB with 08 Ride LX bindings on it. I figured it was time to upgrade with all the new technology that seems to have came out and bought some Union Atlas 2013 Matte Blue for $170 in m/l which I thought was a good price since they are impossible to find and my local shop was still sellin the same one for $210. But im just wondering how they are going to feel compared to my ride bindings since the whole binding is touching my board compared to how the atlas only the plate dose. I also ride mostly groomed, some powder trails and I hit the the park im not really a beginnger. Love to do my spins and spins onto the rails but a little concerned that the Atlas may be a little stiff? I have heard great stuff from everyone about them just wondrring the stiffness and how much different the ride down the mountain is going to feel tonight when I ridr them, making the boards real flex.

Also any comments for boards, as. I will be looking for a new one come summer more for the park and maybe some mountain riding. Seems like Capita is the big boards and I still hear about GNU.

Thanks!

Just hit the mountain for a couple runs with them and so far I love them! A lot smoother ride then before although I haven't hit the park I did get a little feed back off of one jump but other then that they were pretty soft no rails tonight. Did a few adjustments tonight and well see how they run tomorrow.
