Default Help with my next purchase

Just sold my 2 previous pairs of bindings, so its time for an upgrade. Went from some old Burton Freestyles to a pair of POS Flow rear entry bindings that I only sold by the grace of god. *Never will buy another pair of rear entry bindings.

Really looking for bindings now that aren't going to cost me both arms and a leg, but are all around still great.

Riding a 2012 Forum double-dog destroyer 154, Ride Orion boots size 10.5.
Any type of riding as well, but look to progress more in park.

Honestly, been taking a good look at some unions (force particularly) since it seems like all of my friends like them, but I'm looking for an opinion from someone who doesn't just like them because they spent the money already.

Open to any suggestions.
Thanks

I would look to the used market.

Burton cartels and missions are plentiful, with good reason. Good quality. You may not have liked the freestyles but that's the cheapest one they make.

These are awesome.

I also have an older pair of Ride SPI bindings that are stiff and still in great condition i'd sell for cheap.

thanks for the offers, I'll look into them. Heard the Ride SPIs are a little on the heavy side though.

Flow as a company is awful - my experience

Yeah they have a reclining high back and no heelcup, so it looks like they're rear entry. Although it appears you can release the ankle and toe straps and enter/exit that way, too.

If I were you I'd take the advice of your friends. Unless you have friends who recommend a shitty product just because they got duped into that same product, in which case I'd get new friends.

FWIW, if I were to upgrade from my Ride Revolts it would be Union Factory or Burton Cartel. It sounds like you're looking for more flex in your bindings so the Union Force sounds like a solid choice.

Thanks for the advice, and yeah I am looking for a little more flex than before. My main interest with the union bindings has just come from all the hype around them so I've just assumed that their must be something good going on with the company. Ultimately its looking like either Union factory, Force, or Burton cartels.

My experience with Flow has been just the opposite, they have been helpful and responsive. I am sorry you have not had the same experieince that I have had with them.

As far as Gnu's they are rear entry, but IMO they are not at same level as flow. Now mind u I am just rank beginner not an old pro, but have played with all the rear entry bindings and out of the 3 majors flow,k2and GNU My preference is at the flow Line (personally like hybrid strap, have not tried their tradtional one, so cant comment)

The OP however does not seem to state he wants rear entry.
