Ride Capo bindings

Bought a pair of last years model Ride Capo bindings.

Still a newbie... Wanted something more stiff than what came with my board (solomon pulse) which were a Solomon Rhythm. Something geared towards carving. Also the straps we'd coming loose.

Noticed the toe strap webbing is coming off one spot, probably due to a fall.

To me the webbing seems more of ascetics rather then actual support.

Am I correct?

Also what is the purpose of the adjustable foot pad?
To give more toe side leverage?

One more general question... The back plate adjustment:
Forces more of a leg angel: what are pros and cons?

Thanks

The webbing is suppose to help the toe strap conform to the toe box of your boot. It also helps with gripping your boot so it doesn't slip off. I doubt its just for aesthetics.

When you say adjustable foot pad...do you mean the ability to move the foot pad back and forth length wise? Its to help centre the binding better on your board so you don't get toe drag.

Back plate adj - are you referring to the highback? As in rotating your highback and/or forward lien? Both are to help dial in response

Had the 2013 Ride Capos and sold them. That webbing is shit. Even had a guy at Ride admit that they've had problems with it.

However, structurally, the strap works fine without it. It works better with it, but fine either way.
