Flow NX2-SE Snowboard Bindings
I'm looking to upgrade my Burton Cobrashark bindings and found something that I didn't know even existed. It's a rear entry Flow NX2-SE bindings
I'm wondering if anybody tried them. They a lot more expensive comparing to the regular bindings, so it would be nice to know how they feel and if it worth the price.
I think it is a matter of taste. I love mine especially when i go a little too far off piste and need to get my feet out
From what i hear they aren't the best when you get into more technical riding due to the way they strap you feet in. This has gotten much better as they have upgraded the strap to incorporate more of the foot. Most people prefer conventional or over the toe bindings for more tech riding.
I used to have a few of the Flows regular bindings. Quick and easy to get in and out, worked great, but definitely not as responsive as 2 strap bindings though.
I got their toe strap model when it first came out. I believe they changed once since then because they knew the toe strap needed help. Not sure if they've dialed out their problems yet or not.
I'd have to re-adjust the straps every time. It was a big pain in the butt.
I wasn't happy that I just wasted $350 for a product that should have had better R&D before being released. Within the first day or two on them I was so aggravated with them I got rid of all my Flow bindings and haven't looked back.
Gnu also has the Mutant that is quick entry.
I love mine. Wait for the 2014/15 models, the toe strap will be a little better.
I've ridden Flow's for quite a few years and love them. They do take some tweaking to get them just right but once you figure it out you shouldn't have to touch them again.
