burton est

So after a nice long search on here i haven't been able to find an answer to my question. I'm shopping for new bindings for my 2014 burton process. I want to get some burtons missions and i noticed that the est missions are more expensive than the non est but the non est come with a disk that allows them to be used on a board with the channel system anyway. if i get a new board later the non est will be able to be used on that board too. the est ones can't. so basically my question is: are the est binding worth the amount of extra money and the fact that they can only be used with a channel board? is there some big difference in feel between est and non est?

yes there is a diff. est has more feel for board and cushining then w/o est version.

I would get the non-est to use on other boards if you switch boards for demo or trying friends boards.

the union contact or contract pro will give you almost the same feel for cheaper and better depending on your price point or the union force if you plan on doing mt. to .

Totally different theory at achieving better board flex and those Unions do not feel similar to the Missions.

That said, if you can't afford to get new bindings every time you get a new board, get the Reflex Missions.

I only buy burtons. its not a buyest thing i just feel really comfortable on them. i mean if another board was brought to me and it was nice i would use it but i am just a big fan of burtons all mountain boards. so any other board i get would be a channel board. so if est binding are that much better ill just get the missions.
Also what does soft or stiff flex mean on bindings?

To answer your question: yes, EST is worth the little extra $.

But if you're not going to ride EST boards, get the regular (Reflex) ones. Or any other brand if you want.

Soft or stiff flex means just that... how flexy vs stiff the binding is. Do a google search, there's lots of explanations.

Side note: your sentences are difficult to read.
