I need new bindings for my board and really dont know what to get? I have a Never Summer cobra and K2 T1 boots size 9. UK
I did have burton mission bindings on it but there 5 years old from what im told
Cheers
It helps if you include your budget range and what brands do you like. I'm assuming since you have a Cobra your going to want some medium to stiff bindings to go with them.
Definitely not stiff. The Cobra is fairly soft. Pretty middle of the road in terms of flex. I like it with a medium flex binding. Something like a Flux TT30, Burton Cartel, Union Force type binding.
Sorry I can't be of any help on K2 bindings since I never rode a board with them, I'm a Rome fanboy when it comes to bindings. But I do have a pair of K2 boots.
But if your you want K2 bindings that will ship outside the USA look at evo.com (not the best prices but usually a lot more stock since their prices are higher than sites like backcountry.com or tactics.com)
If I was getting Rome bindings for a cobra I would either get Targas, 390 Boss, or 390's. The Targas are more stiffer than the other two, but you can adjust them to not be as stiff with an insert. And if your the type who likes his board to match his bindings the Targas have a red and black set that match the 2013/2014 Cobra.
There are a lot of other better bindings out there but I don't care to break the bank on a set of bindings personally. Union and Flow make great bindings as well. People like the Burton Cartels, so that's another option. But if you do go Rome be sure you don't accidentally buy something like the Rome Boss, or the Rome Mob bindings since their softer and made more for the park and easy groomers.
I'd wait another day or two to give some other people time to give their thoughts and advice on some other options. Right now its almost midnight on the east coast in the USA. I'm sure others will see this thread tomorrow. If you do have your heart set on the 390's google other places that ship overseas, you might find something cheaper than what evo is offering.
Maybe look at somethin along the lines of the Flux DS's, Rome 390's, if you want a little lateral flex for the park, or the Flux TT, Burton Cartels, if you want an all round binding with a little more response than the Missions!!!!!
