Matching bindings to boots and board
I recently bought a Burton Blunt board and Burton Jet boots. I'm just now realizing that my boots are rated pretty soft compared to my board. What type of bindings should I look into for matching these together? I was looking into the mission bindings, which seem to match my board well, but are my boots too soft for those bindings? What is the outcome of using softer boots with a board and boots with medium stiffness? Am I going to regret not getting boots that are a little stiffer?

You're worrying too much, it will be fine. The outcome will be you will be able to tweak your airs a little more with the soft boots. You will be giving up a little responsiveness but it's not a big deal considering you would have gone for mid stiff anyway.

I had a medium soft salomon ace board + soft k2 sonic bindings + soft salomon faction boots and it worked, but broke the board after crashing to a tree and bought salomon mans board, which is stiff and turn initiation requires more effort. With these boots and bindigs riding totaly sucked, edge to edge was teerrible, so I imediatly bought medium/stiff k2 formulla bindings and stiff northwave decade boots and it worked just fine.

But you wont hat this problem because burton blunt is medium/soft with easy turn initiation, unlike mans board, so soft boots will wok just fine and you can buy soft to medium bindings with no worries

Thanks guys, I ended up going the mission bindings that were suggested for the blunt. Can't wait to try them out this winter!

A lot of it just comes down to personal preference. I have fairly weak ankles from multiple sprains from my football and basketball days, so I generally prefer stiff boots and usually pair them with a binding that's a little on the soft side for the board. That's what works best for me, but I'm not sure that I'd necessarily recommend it for others.
