Hey guys I was wondering if anyone has any experience with painting bindings, specifically the foam bits on the base and high backs. I'm not terribly worried about the paint chipping off after a year or so, but more worried about some paints eating away at the foam (I have just purchased a cheap used board off a friend so I am open for experimentation).
That's an idea, but I'd be worried about leaving streaks using those. I think a spray would give a nicer even coat at the end of the day. I've been reading about using some water based or acrylic primers as a base coat, and then using my desired spray paint colour on top.
But everything I have been reading does not pertain particularily to snowboard binding foam haha. It would be helpful to know what kind of foam is used specifically on bindings....
Apparently a lot of cosplayers have this question about painting their foam costumes (?), so I've found that these people use:
-Plastidip (some sort of primer/sealer)
-Water based or Latex spray paints! (such as Krylon H2O)
Thanks Mizu, and i'll try to remember to post my results in a few weeks. Still open to more opinions for now!
