Binding size?

Basically I'm looking to pickup some new bindings for my board and I'm just wondering what the best size would be for me.

I have size 10.5 Burton Freestyle boots, so I fall right at the end of size M and the beginning of size L when it comes to the bindings I'm looking at ( Cartel EST's or Mission EST's ).

So what would be better? Should I go with medium or large? Mediums go to 11 and Large is 10+. So I know I would fit in the mediums, but would there be an advantage for me to go with one or the other?

Any input would be great...

If you can try them that would be the best. Your boots could have a larger profile and you will need the larger size.

If your boot sole fits in the footbed it's pretty much a go. The burton straps on the mediums can easily be adjusted (just like any other binding) to accommodate a larger boot. The only thing that doesn't move is the width of the footbed and the heelcup in their case, but that would be solved by off setting the binding more towards the heel edge.

The reason why someone would go to a medium and not a large binding when their foot size overlaps both, would be so that they can go with some of the smaller boards (waist width wise) and also get a tighter fit in general.

Depending how large your boot really is, you may have to always make sure that no snow is in your binding when you strap in. This is something most riders do anyway, but if your fit in the medium is hella tight and just right, you will have much less leeway for potential frozen snow jammed in the binding.

I remember seeing a video that explain this all, but I can't find it.

Ah gotcha, so it really doesn't matter. I think I'm going to go with large just in case I get different boots later on that are bigger in size. That way I don't have to worry about it...

Last year I rode large cartels with a 10 boot, this year I went with medium on a 9.5 and its a much better fit. Large should work just fine for your boots.
