a couple ?'s from a beginner

Im very new to the sport, and have a couple questions that I havent been able to find answers to. For now, I'll def just be looking for an all around setup, I dont have as much interest in any sort of park riding as of now. I just got back from a week long trip on a borrowed setup so I have a bias towards the burton board/bindings/boots combo I was using, but it seems like buying a Burton board isnt the best idea for my price range based on what I've read. Because of that, I got a used Forum Recon 156 board and want to buy new bindings/boots.

1. I used and really liked the Burton Customs w/ the Burton Moto boots. I am pretty much stuck on those boots, but will that combo work on the Forum board?

2. If not, is there a better binding around the same price as the Customs that will work with my propsed board/boot combo?

I'm not sure if being so deadset on the Motos is a bad thing, but from what Ive read, the way to go about this is to adapt the binding to a preferred boot and not vice-versa. Any advice would be great.

if youve like the boot and binding combo then by all means stick with it....if ur up for change get to a shop and see what they have strap some boots on and try some bindings out see how they feel on a board...
