My son has a K-2 Fatbob with clicker bindings. I realize these are not the thing anymore. What can I replace them and also the boots with to make him more comfortable? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I should have been more specific. Is the bolt pattern any different than the newer boards? Will we have to make some type of adapter or can we just use the existing holes in the board? I have skiied for years but this is my first experience trying to help with snowboarding.
In the mid 1990s the industry adopted a standard 4x insert pattern. Every binding on the market these days should be compatible with that insert pattern.
do you have any idea how old the board is? Or, you could post a picture of the board, close-up of the section where the bindings mount.
looks like pretty standard 4x2 insert pattern. You should be good with any brand of bindings on the market today. If you have any reservations about it, though, just hike that board over to your local sporting goods store and ask to see if the bindings will mount.
