Newbie binding question?

Just bought all my gear and went out on my first snowboarding trip, which was not all that pleasant. Took a bad fall and bruised some ribs. Feeling better and really wanting to get back out there.

I had a few questions on the bindings and how they are set-up.

I'm 6'5" 200lbs and size 15 Ride boots, a 163cm K2 Brigade Wide board with Ride EX bindings.

I have toe and heel over hang. My question is should the over hang be equal for the front and rear?
I ride goofy and my front foot has more toe over hang then the rear foot. My rear foot is also not centered on the board and has more toe over hand then hell. I have about 1/2" front toe over hang and about 1/4" rear toe over hang. I would say the hell over hang is less then 1/4" if that.

Is this how it is suppose to be set-up?

Thanks.

Good question.

You want your boot center on the board, equal amount of over hang. Over hang is dependant on your riding style. If you freeride/carve, over hang is more of a problem. Basically, you don't want the boot to drag.

Finally, setting are all personal. For example, I freeride a 162 but also have size 9 boots. So to get leverage, I set my binding so I have more overhang on heelside. You will prob be equal over hang because you have size 15 boots.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have a look at the bindings and center the boots in them and see if that helps.
