Burton mounting screws

are you supposed to keep the blue plastic on the screws when you mount new bindings on a board? i've never mounted these bindings before and i'm having trouble getting the screws tight enough.

Are you talking about lock-tight on the threads of the screw? If so yes keep it on.

If its what i think it is it's a hardened liquid that helps keep your screws in tight.
