Sweet! Alot of companies would deny anything that far out of warranty. Some are nice and will sell you a new model at cost or significant discount. But hey, this is best case scenario right here. +1 for Rome customer service!
When Rome first launched I remember they had some "100 day" slogan regarding the durability of their gear. I don't think they kept the slogan for too many seasons. That would certainly leave the door wide open in cases like this.
I also remember people whinging about the durability of their first year bindings on the Snowboard.com forums(RIP). As I mentioned in the original thread, one of the base plates was cracked right through so you couldn't tell, but on the one that wasn't as bad the crack was at what appeared to be a defect in the plastic.
