Default Lightweight Full Toe-cap?

I have the Flux Emblem C.s on my board now, love the feel of that toe cap and love the bindings in every way....except their weight. Anything comparable in feel without the weight? Need something as durable as the Flux' have been, nothing has broken or even messed them up cosmetically in the last 3 seasons...with this past being a long and hard one.

The 2010 weight was fine, but apparently they lightened up even a little more for 2011.

This for the Emblems or just Flux bindings in general?

I would say in general. I am not an expert though. i think it was B Gilly from this site who said next years flux's lost a bit of weight, and someone compared the weight of this years feedbacks (i think) to other bindings and they were pretty much the same weight.(a little heavier; not noticeable)

Cool deal, didn't know they had lightened the whole line. Should have assumed that though, as the only complaints I ever heard about Flux was the weight...

Thanks for the help.

Next seasons toe caps is not the same. They are changing to a convertible design. The weight will be a bit lighter but there are still lighter weight bindings out there. Will see if I have good photo of the toe caps from ones that I demoed a month ago.

The best bet would be to go with the Feedback (SF45) still decent stiffness but a lighter base plate or Distortion (DS45)for more freestyle.

The weight difference is not an extreme change but if you have a pair from a few years ago you will feel a difference.

NEW Toe Strap

Comparable weights of bindings can be found in this thread-

What in the HELL is that thing??!!! Now why would Flux go and do something so dumb?! Their toe cap was perfection! I might contact them and see if I can get some spares.

It is not as bad as it looks. They are making it into a convertible but still has as good of a boot hold as this seasons. Just not as big, more stream lined. Is not the best picture and I did not take multiple shots so you just see it from the top not the side. Picture does not show the profile form of the cap. Once you take the cover off it looks just like this seasons core cap just a little trimmed down along the outer edge.

If you have a need for a spare set just shoot me a pm I might have a spare set stashed away.
