bindings with close feel - Snowboarding Forum

i rode the ride betas and they where awesome....i loved how close my foot was to the board, it seemed like there was little between the board and my boot. but someone stole them....so for money reasons i had to go back to my 08 burton customs and i hate how far away my foot is from the board, i dont really like the feeling of a really big gas pedal i guess. so now im trying to decide what cheap binding i can get around 120 or less preferably an older model. Any body know how the 2010 sonics are in this category? any other bindings i should check out? it seems like the contraband is really thin but im scared about the toe strap....

are you talking about older contrabands without the wedgie beds?

But does the weddgie bed really affect that? It seems like thos are pretty thin and not too bulkie......I'm talking about in comp to the 09 ride betas

wedgie beds are much thicker than the thin foam pieces that Ride used to use

im just looking for bindings that make you feel on top of you board and not much in between your board and feet....any suggestions? bindings with thin footbeds?

I use Ride NRc and am looking for a second pair of bindings and think the Betas listed above are my next set. Is the consensus that they are great bindings. ?
