K2 Hurrithanes yay or nay?
Greetings friends,

I have a 157 parkstar wide I just ordered and am looking at getting some newer, more forgiving bindings. I'm really interested in the K2 Hurrithanes, but I am wondering if it is going to be TOO forgiving, especially since I am probably on the larger side. (Size 11 Motos, 6'3'' ~210 lbs)

My last setup was a 163w Burton Deuce with 2009 Burton Customs and it seemed extremely stiff. I ride about 60/40 mountain/park.

Questions are

1. Can anyone (hopefully someone who has demo'd the hurrithanes) give me an idea if this will be too much flex for me?

2. A little unrelated, considering going risers but my buddy told me to not even think about risers till I ride whatever bindings im going to get a few times. What is the general concensus on risers? I hardly ever see anyone ride them.. (or maybe I just don't notice)

3. I'm going to eventually order my Hurrithanes or whatever bindings online, but should I check out a local shop to get a feel for them?

Once again thanks to whoever takes the time out to help me!

i rode the hurrathanes this past january... they rode nice not too forgiving... i think youll enjoy them. i weight 195 and felt comfortable riding them... i prefer softer park boards so i naturally would likee em. if your going to be into hitting big booters maybe not the best... if your into boxes and medium jumps... go all in!

just for my own 2 cents... k2 should have included their hinge ankle strap on these. look for that upgrade next year...

I picked them up in a store once. They seem hella flexy but not too forgiving. I would recommend these if you are hitting HUGE air. My vote is: Yay!

If you're worried about them being too soft, the RK30's urethane highbacks are stiffer than the Hurrithanes.

RK30 is a great option for a urethane backed binding.

How about like 85/15 (80 park) with a skate banana? Im guessing these are aimed more park anyway, yes?
