Pricing for unused 07/08 bindings? - Snowboarding Forum

I'm new to these forums, but if anyone can give me some general discounting percentages for gear that is from previous seasons it'd help me a lot. I found some flux distortions that are new with the box (says August 2008 on box) and don't know what they're worth. I'm thinking ~$100? Maybe less.. but I don't want to lowball the seller. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

hmm you can find most any gear from last year for 50% off. three years old?? man I would say at least 70% off..

Ok nice. They were $250 new at one point and asking price is $120, so i'll go with 70% discount offer which is ~$80. Its too tempting of a deal to pass up bindings that cheap.. Thanks paul07ss

If the box says August 2008 they are most likely 2008-09 models, I'd offer $50 and maybe let him talk me up to $60-65. Any more than that and I'd just look for a deal on bindings from last year, there are plenty of deals to be found on 2010 gear.

Oh yeah your right, they should be 08/09.. That's some good haggling advice haha, I haven't offered a price yet so I'll start at $50. I'm planning on this being my flex pair anyways, and won't use them for the majority of the time.

Those are most likely 08/09 versions. I say that b/c I don't think distortions were around before that, and the date is prob the manufacture date. Brand new complete I'd say up to $100 is pretty damn reasonable. Those were like $250 retail when current.
