Effectiveness of Wedgie Footbeds vs Other Canted Footbeds

Can anyone out there vouch for the effectiveness of canted footbeds other than those of Ride's Wedgie Footbeds? I've used the search tool enough to see that the Wedgies seem to make a significant difference. But, for instance I'd like to hear other's experiences with K2's canted beds or Rome's new canted beds.

The reason I ask was I was surfing another forum (Ride) and someone there was describing testing various canted binding setups and how he thought that the gel pads in the wedgies are more effective than straight foam beds at an angle on other bindings. Can anyone comment on this?
