Ok i feel stupid for asking this and it probably is a stupid question
But when youre setting the bindings on a board will it have a huge impact if u place the bindings near the nose more farther up then the ones near the tail. Ive got the bindings on the nose on the farthest 4 holes and the ones on the tail on the middle four holes. Would that mess anything up or what.
And the riding im planning to do on the board is jibbing and rails and stuff
If you are jibbing you will want the most centered stance on the board. The further you are toward the nose the more likely you are to go over the nose, and the same with the back. If you have a directional board you will typcially set-up centered in the sidecut radius and not the center of the board. If it is a powder day a lot of people set their bindings back toward the tail to help with nose float.
You can make your stance wider to provide a better base to be more stable on rails. I recommend setting your bindings on the furthest out holes for both feet. Then start bringing your feet in closer together to where it feels wide but not to uncomfortable.
Yes it will make a difference, especially if you end up with more tail than tip. You do not want to ride like that ever. My advice is to stay with the standard setback the board was designed for and keep the bindings in the same holes on both feet. Like gjsnowboarder said, start with the furthest out holes and go from there.
