I'm pretty set on the slayblade and at $550 it's going to eat all of my budget. I.E. no money left for new bindings.
Is there any problem with using my 2005 Burton P1 ($250) bindings on the 2011 slayblade? They have the same mounting and hardware but I don't know if I'll lose any performance by mix-matching brands and dated technology. I love my Burton boots and P1 bindings. Thoughts? |

No. terrible idea. The slayblade is only worth while if you have the 2011 K2 Cinch bindings. You stance must be exactly +21/-6 at a width of 21". Otherwise the board is completely worthless and in fact may explode.
Your bindings will be fine. Attach, Strap up and shred. |

I still have a pair of Burton Customs from 02ish. They still are mounted on my splitboard right now.
$900 board + Ancient bindings. Still rides great although it did get a ladder strap replaced last season. <==== |
