Cartels on parkish board? - Snowboarding Forum

I have a burton supermodel with some cartels slapped on them but im looking into getting a new board thats more playful and fun im looking at the burton process and something like the ride dh2

Now my question is are the cartels too stiff for a board like this?

I don't think there's going to be a stiffness issue. The problem people find with the cartels in park is the forward lean

Cartels will work fine they are a medium flex, do it all kind of binding and are a solid choice for any setup in my eyes. I just bought a 2011 DH2 and am planning to buy some Re:Flex Cartels for them. I currently have Mission bindings on my older board and they will probably go on my DH2 until i get my new bindings. I haven't tried out my DH2 yet just because i would rather not beat the hell out of with our early season conditions.

The thing about Ride boards is there slime walls. It makes for a dampened ride. They basically build their suspension into their boards. Plastic bindings make for a softer ride underfoot to reduce board chatter and absorb shock. If you go with a DH2 or any ride board I suggest either Rome bindings or Ride. Something rigid underfoot or else you will sacrafice pop and board feel. I only say this through personal exeperience. I have a ride crush. Last season I was riding Flux Titan RKs, albeit the Fluxes are very soft bindings. I just upgraded to some Ride Delta Mvmnts. Talk about night and day. I thought soft was the way to go, but having that extra leverage of a metal baseplate and heel cup makes pressing and ollying so much easier.
